My 6 year old daughter was super excited about Easter.  However, she wanted to try being the Easter bunny and hide eggs for me to find.  When she came to get me, she directed me to the sign that she made.  The sign in the picture reads:  Welcome to the 13 Easter egg hunt.  The goal was for me to find 13 eggs she had hidden throughout the living room.  She of course was being my little helper and giving me clues as to where the "bunny" hid the eggs.

Favorite quote and children's book

One of my favorite quotes about children is:       
"Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate."  I wish I knew who originated this quote because I believe it to be so true.

I have always enjoyed listening to and reading Shel Silverstein books and poems.  For me, one of my favorite books is Where the Sidewalk Ends. 
It all started in 1983 when my dad got me my first Shel Silverstein book.  I still have the book he gave me.  Just about every Christmas I would get a Shel Silverstein book from my dad. When I read these books to my daughter, I am reminded of how grateful I am for my dad because he started me on a positive path towards reading.
